Strong and intense - now this is how you build a fierce fall wardrobe. Peter Som's curved shoulders on a peplum silhouette is the perfect balance for the mommy tummy and although wearing fur is not for me, I must say this one is spectacular.

I looove a Day dress and Phyllis Talyor of Sika Designs has created a collection that nears perfection. Though these are part of her A/W 2011 collection, they are right on time for spring. I wouldn't mind prancing around the city in one of these ladies.

British designer Jenny Packham brings glamour to the runway and the red carpet. Known for her celebrity clientele, this bridal wear and lingerie designer infuses both elements to create classic hollywood drama. The black maxi is giving me elegent and WOW - Love it.

Wow! The first thing that came to mind when I saw this spread was my childhood home. This collection for Topshop by London based Mary Katrantzou strikes a chord in my heart and brings me back to all of those times when I was too embarrassed to invite friends to my house because my mom had too much going on all over the house. My mother worked in textiles and "painted" each room with multiple patterns and textures. Little did I know then, the effect that it would have on me later. Prints, prints and more prints is my motto. Love this collection and will have to invest in a piece or two.

London based b Magazine shoot Dubbing in the Backyard: styling by Jason Hughes, photography by Willem Jaspert, and model Fernando Cabral - enough to brighten my day. While I love the color and prints I think my favorites are the sandals by Casely-Hayford.

She Better Mind Her Business - Shana Aldrich

RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) grad and former apparel designer, Shana Aldrich, was inspired by trips to the beach with her son to create The Ropes accessories line. These handmade creations are made from marine ropes and hardware and are just what my spring/summer wardrobe needs. Sturdy and colorful and will mix well with metals - funky, funky, funky. They will be on my wrist this season.

Smoking Kids

Disturbingly beautiful. These photos are part of a series by Belgian photographer Frieke Janssens entitled "Smoking Kids." Janssens got the idea for this shoot after a YouTube video of a two year old chain smoker in Indonesia went viral last year. The photos were staged using cheese sticks and chalk with smoke emanating from candles and incense.

Riding on Prada

Interesting and sculptural - collectors items for sure. Prada's spring 2012 shoe collection is inspired by classic cars of the 1950's, and some are even decorated with automotive parts. A bit much for me, but me likey none the less.
